Items Not Accepted

To ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and proper facility operation, the following are not accepted at the San Jose drop-off location:

• Refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers
• Dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, vacuum cleaners
• Kitchen electronics (toasters, coffee makers, fans, blenders)

Hazardous or Restricted Materials

• Alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, etc.)
• Light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, LED lamps
• Paints, solvents, oils, or household hazardous waste
• VHS tapes, CDs/DVDs, film reels, negatives
• Smoke detectors, mercury thermostats
• Items with refrigerants, oil, or chemical components
